Special Needs Programming

Special Needs League & Low Sensory Bowling

We are an IBCCES Certified Autism Center. Join us on Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm for special low sensory hours designed for players on the spectrum or with other special needs. All you can bowl, 2 hours with shoe rental included for up to 5 players per lane: $10. per player. Opt to bowl with the league or on your own lane as capacity allows.

Advance booking not required.

If you are planning a party, school field trip, community-based learning program, or just a night out with the family, contact us so that we can help to craft a plan that is individually tailored to your unique needs.

As a standard of operations, Bowlero employs an all-inclusive model designed to welcome every member of our community. We are a IBCCES Certified Autism Center – the only certified bowling facility in Michigan – with trained staff. We are fully ADA compliant

Our understanding of individuals with special needs reaches beyond autism. BLL co-owner, Kelly Elliott, is an experienced school psychologist who has worked within the public school system for nearly two decades. She has instilled in our staff a can-do attitude when it comes to working out a plan for any challenge.

Special needs programming includes, but is not limited to:

  • Certified Autism Center (IBCCES)
  • Staff who are sensitive and trained to serve special needs individuals
  • Regularly scheduled “sensory” days, where lights & music are lowered
  • Weighted vests & noise-cancelling headphones, available free of charge
  • School field trips for community-based learning

We are inspired by the regular group of families who attend weekly:

I just want to thank you again for being so welcoming and accommodating for the Wednesday League. It is such a joy to watch all the students having fun. It is also wonderful to see the parents joy in watching their son/daughter participate in the league and socialize with each other. They are all so appreciative!!”
