Billy Davis (Interview) – blues guitarist, singer, songwriter, Motown session player and 3-time Hall of Fame inductee (Rock & Roll, Doo Wop and R&B Halls of Fame) is best known for his work with Hank Ballard & The Midnighters. He moved to Detroit’s black bottom neighborhood at age 13 where the blues and jazz poured out from local nightclubs, and his destiny in music was sealed. He is famously known for having taught guitar to a young Jimi Hendrix and inspired him to adopt the stage act that Davis became known for; playing his guitar with his teeth… playing behind his back… and playing with passion and precision.
