Inheriting her love for the guitar from her great-grandfather\, Hillbilly guitarist Wally Holcomb\, and her cousin\, Detroit legend Robert Gillespie\, Angie learned how to play on a pre-war Martin by studying her favorites: No Doubt\, the Beatles\, the Clash\, Britney Spears\, the Shirelles\, and Led Zeppelin. All of these artists left a lasting imprint on Angie and her music\, inspiring her to create the infectious retro pop/rock songs she and her band play today! Angie’s sound is reminiscent of the old Detroit\, yet fresh and exciting; her mix of melodic\, memorable tunes and witty crowd work leave the audience wanting more!
